How it works
No surprises.
That's the process.
Handing someone your home for months takes trust. Here's exactly what happens between your first call and the day we hand it back — six steps, each one in writing, with the owner on the job the whole way.
The six steps
From first call
to guarantee.
01
The first call
You call or send the form. Dan picks up or calls back within 24 hours — no call center, no sales rep. You talk through what you want to build, roughly where, and what matters most to you. Five minutes is usually enough to know whether it's a fit.
Timeline: 1–2 days
02
The walkthrough
Dan comes to the property. He looks at what you're starting with — grade, drainage, structure, sun, snow load, access — because in Northern Minnesota the lot writes half the plan. You'll get straight talk about what's possible and what it'll fight you on.
Timeline: Within the first week
03
The written estimate
A real number, in writing, free. Scope spelled out line by line — what's included, what's allowance, what's excluded — so there are no soft numbers waiting to surprise you in month four.
Timeline: About a week after walkthrough
04
Plans & permits
Once you say go, we handle drawings, engineering where it's needed, and the permit file with your city or county. You sign off on the plan before anything is ordered.
Timeline: 2–8 weeks depending on scope
05
The build
One crew, owner on the job. We sequence the work, manage inspections, and keep you updated in plain language — photos and a call, not a portal you have to chase. Weather is planned for, not used as an excuse.
Timeline: Decks in days; kitchens in weeks; homes in months — your estimate carries the real dates
06
Walkthrough & guarantee
We walk every inch together before we call it done. Punch list gets cleared, then the workmanship guarantee backs the job after we've left. If something's not right, you call Dan — the same person who built it.
Timeline: At completion — and after
The other half of the promise
What you'll never get
from ProCon.
A soft number
Estimates are written, itemized, and honest about allowances. The price you plan around is the price we work to.
A rotating cast
One crew start to finish. The person who shook your hand at the walkthrough is the person on your roof in week six.
Radio silence
You hear from us before you have to ask. Photos, plain language, and a call when a decision needs you.
A disappearing act
The workmanship guarantee means the job isn't over when we load the trailer. Something's not right? Call Dan.
Step 1 takes five minutes.
